This tutorial was written by me on September 6, 2015 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP. You will need the following supplies:
Paint Shop Pro, I used version X2 to create this tag.
"Early Autumn" is a beautiful new tagger-size scrap kit from BabyCakes Scraps and is available at CDO. Thank you for this gorgeous kit Lynne!
I used a beautiful tube and close-up by Vadis, available at Pics For Design.
Fall Template 1 from Twyzted T's Playroom.
Mask #133 from Designs by Vaybs.
Font: I used Fleur DeLeah, a pay font.
Drop shadow used: 2, 2, 55, 10
For name: 2, 2, 55, 5
~~ Remember to save often! ~~
Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.
Open the template, shift + d to duplicate, close the original. Delete the credit layer and change the canvas size to 750 x 750. Unhide the background layer and flood fill the blank area with white.
Activate raster 11, select all, float and defloat. Open Paper 6 and resize 70%; copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete. Deselect, apply drop shadow. Delete original layer.
Follow these steps with the following layers:
Raster 5 and Copy of Raster 5: use Paper 3
Raster 6: use Paper 5
Raster 4: use Paper 11. Before you deselect, copy and paste the close-up tube and resize 35%. Arrange within the selection, tap delete and deselect. Change blend mode to Soft Light or Hard Light, whichever you prefer. Continue as above.
Raster 3, Copies 1 & 2 of Raster 3: use Paper 12. Before you deselect, copy and paste the main tube as a new layer and place a section within the selection. Tap delete and deselect; change the blend mode to Soft Light. Continue as above.
Activate Raster 16; select all, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #e6ba5f. Deselect and delete original layer.
Activate Raster 7; select all, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with the same colour, deselect and delete the original. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > Gaussian, 37%, Monochrome checked.
Repeat for Raster 8, 9, and 10.
Raster 17, use #414222
Open the main tube and resize 40%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place as desired. Drop shadow.
Add your elements and apply drop shadow. I used:
#5: resize 50%
#10: resize 60%, duplicate x2
#16: resize 60%
#32: resize 40%
#49: resize 50%; duplicate, mirror, flip
Hide background layer, merge visible. Resize merged layer 85%. Unhide background layer and add a new raster layer. Change foreground to #e6ba5f and background to #a82e26. Change foreground to gradient > foreground/background > Style: Radial > Angle: 45 > Repeats: 5 > Invert checked. Flood fill new layer with this gradient. Apply DBV Mask #133 and merge mask group. Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement.
Crop and resize your tag. Add your name and applicable copyright and license information. Save as a png and you're finished, enjoy your new tag!
Until next time ...
