A Touch Of Magic

This tutorial was created by me on September 14, 2015 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

"A Touch Of Magic" is an absolutely gorgeous new scrap kit by Gothic Creations.  This is another of Jessica's amazing CT-inspired kits, this one created for Sandra O'Dare.  You will find this beautiful kit in the Gothic Inspirations store, HERE.

Tube ©Elias Chatzoudis.  Elias was with MPT at the time I purchased this tube, he now has his own store, HERE.

Template #180 from Horseplay's Pasture.

Mask #124 from Designs By Vaybs.

Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow.

Font of choice.  I used Jellyka Saint-Andrew's Queen, HERE.

Drop shadows used:

For template elements: 0, 0, 70, 12
Elements: 2, 2, 63, 10
Tube: 0, 0, 50, 10, then 2, 10, 30, 15

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template, shift + d to duplicate, close the original.  Delete the credit layer.

Resize all layers 90%, change the canvas size to 750 x 750.  Activate the background layer and flood fill the blank areas with white.

Activate Raster 1.  Select all, float and defloat.  From the kit, open Paper 12 and resize 65%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete the original layer.

Repeat these steps for the following layers:

Raster 2 & 3: use Paper 4
Raster 4: use Paper 4(SM)
Raster 6 & 7: use Paper 12
Raster 8, 9, 10, 11: use paper 7, resize 50%.  After adding each paper layer, do not deselect.  Follow these steps:

Raster 8: Open Ghostie and resize 30%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and arrange within the selection.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change blend mode to Soft Light.

Raster 9: Open Felt Bat and resize 30%.  Mirror, copy and paste as a new layer and arrange within the selection.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change blend mode to Soft Light.

Raster 10: Use Felt Bat again, do not mirror this time.

Raster 11: Use Ghostie again, mirror.

Activate Raster 5; select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #3d5b19.  Deselect and apply an inner bevel using these settings:

Delete original layer.

Repeat these steps for layers 12 and 13.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements, I used:

BottlewMagic: resize 35%.
BranchwLeaves: resize 55%; duplicate and mirror.
Broom: resize 85%; free rotate 8° right.
Clouds: resize 85%
FairyChain: resize 50%.
Flowers: resize 50%; duplicate and mirror.
Foliage: resize 45%; duplicate and mirror.
Grass: resize 30%; duplicate.
GroundLeaves: resize 60%; duplicate.
Mushrooms 1 & 2: resize 20%, then 85%
Raven: resize 20%
Tree1: resize 75% and erase the trunk.  Arrange at the bottom right side, move above the background layer.  Duplicate and move the duplicate up.  See my tag for reference.  Arrange to your satisfaction, then merge these two layers together. Duplicate and mirror.
WA11: resize 65%
Wand: resize 30%, free rotate 8° right.

Apply drop shadows above to all corresponding layers.

Hide the background layer and merge visible.  Resize merged layer 85%.

Unhide the background and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.  Deselect and apply DBV mask #124; merge mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement.

Add your name.  I used Jellyka Saint-Andrews Queen, size 72, colour black.

Apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow using these settings:

Under the Color tab: Select Medium
Under the Basic tab:
Glow Width: 4.27
Soft Corners: 0
Overall Opacity: 100
Draw Only Outside Selection: checked

Click OK.

Add all applicable copyright and license information.

Save your tag as a png and you're finished, enjoy it!!

Until next time ...
