This tutorial was written by me on April 23rd, 2015 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP. You will need the following supplies:
Wonderful FTU scrap kit "New Spring Day" Parts 1 & 2 by Dees'Sign Depot. Download from her blog HERE. Don't forget to leave some love when you download, it's always very much appreciated!
I used a tube by Dean Yeagle, who was with CILM when I purchased it. You can find his tubes at CDO now.
Template "Celebrate Spring" by Twyzted T's Playroom, download HERE.
Mask 9 by Melissa's Creationz.
Font of choice; I used Salsa Mangos BTN HERE.
Drop shadows used:
Tube: 0, 0, 35, 8 followed by 3, 8, 27, 15
Template layers: 0, 0, 53, 8
Elements: 2, 2, 53, 8
~~ Remember to save often! ~~
Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.
Open the template, shift + d to duplicate, close the original.
Change the canvas size to 800 x 800. Activate the background layer and flood fill the blank areas with white.
Delete the credit layer.
Activate raster 6; select all, float and defloat. Open paper 9 and resize 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Invert the selection and tap delete. Deselect and delete the original layer. Drop shadow.
Repeat these steps for the following layers:
Raster 2: use paper 13
Raster 4 and copy of raster 4: use paper 8, resize 60%
Raster 3: use paper 5
Raster 5 and copy of raster 5: use paper 4
Raster 7: use paper 3, do not resize
Raster 11: use paper 5; Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > Gaussian, 35%, Monochrome checked.
Raster 8: use paper 4
Copy and paste your tube, resize 90%. Apply drop shadow indicated above.
Add your elements, I used:
#56: do not resize, duplicate x5 for a total of 6 and arrange as shown. Merge these layers together.
#6: resize 40%
#58: resize 60%
#36: do not resize, arrange on top of center square.
#33: resize 30%, then 85%
#35: resize 35%, erase stem
#28: resize 50%
#19: Free rotate 90° left. Resize 30%, then 75%; duplicate, mirror and resize 80%
#61: resize 25%; duplicate and resize 85%
Drop shadow all elements.
Hide the background layer, merge visible.
Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer. Select all. Copy and paste paper 9 into the selection. Deselect and apply MC Mask 9. Merge mask group. Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement. Reduce opacity to 65.
Crop and resize your tag. Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information.
Save as a png and you're finished!
I hope you enjoy your new tag. I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.
Until next time ...
