On The Naughty List

This tutorial was written by me on December 3rd, 2014 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

Gorgeous "Inspired By Jessica Dougherty 33-3" scrap kit by Baby Cakes Scraps and available to purchase at CDO.

The tube "Ruby Martini" is by pinup artist Jessica Dougherty.  Jessica was with CILM when I purchased the tube, but her tubes can now be purchased at CDO.

Mask #33 by WeeScotsLass.  Her masks can be downloaded in bulk zip files, links are on the right of her blog.

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow.

Font: I used Miss Stanfort, a pay font.  Any nice script font will work fine.

Drop shadow used: 2, 2, 65, 8

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open a new image, 750 x 750, white background.

From the kit, open element 25, do not resize.  Copy and paste as a new layer.

Using the freehand selection tool, draw a selection around the frame, like this:

Open paper 2 and resize 60%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and move below the frame.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect.

Copy and paste the tube (do not resize) as a new layer above the paper but below the frame.  Duplicate and move the copy above the frame.  Hide the copy and activate the original tube layer.  Using the eraser, carefully remove parts of the tube that extend beyond the frame.  Now activate the tube copy and remove the parts that cover the top of the frame.  See my tag for reference.  Drop shadow the bottom tube.

Now add your elements, I used:

#3: resize 50%
#4: resize 65%, use the eraser to remove the wire hanger
#5 & #8: resize each 20%.  Copy and paste above the background layer and arrange as desired.  Duplicate as often as you wish, resize some of the copies 85%.  Scatter these around the tag, as shown.
#6: do not resize
#7: resize 50%
#12: resize 50%
#13: resize 50%
#21: resize 50%.  Apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow using these settings:

Under the Colour tab: select the Fat preset
Under the Basic tab: Glow Width 3, Soft Corners 0, Overall Opacity 100, Draw Only Outside Selection checked.  Click OK.

#26: resize 60%

Apply drop shadow above to all elements.  Make sure everything is arranged to your satisfaction, then hide the background layer and merge visible.  Resize merged layer 85%

Unhide background layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Copy and paste paper 1 into the selection.  Deselect and apply WDL mask #33; merge the mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement, if desired.

Crop, resize your tag and add your name.  I used Miss Stanfort, size 72, stroke 0, colour #004204.

Add all applicable copyright and license information.  Save as a png and you're finished!  Enjoy your new tag!

Until next time ...
