Truly, Madly, Deeply

This tutorial was written by me on April 27th, 2014 and was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

"Truly, Madly, Deeply" is a gorgeous tagger-size kit by Honored Scraps, available at Heartbeatz Creationz.  Thank you for a beautiful kit Patty!

I used the beautiful art of Zindy S.D. Nielsen, available at her store HERE.  You must have a license to use.

Template #001 by Polka Dot Scraps.

Mask #105 by WeeScotsLass.

Plug-in: Xero Radiance

Font: I used Fragrance, a pay font.  A web search will result in multiple links.

*Note: when referring to drop shadows, I use the following abbreviations:

V = Vertical
H = Horizontal
O = Opacity
B = Blur

~~ Let's get started! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP; shift + d to duplicate.  Close the original.

Delete the credit layer.  Resize all layers 75% and change the canvas size to 750 x 750.

Activate the left heart layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  From the kit, open paper 10 and resize 60%.  Copy and paste as a new layer; invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.

Repeat these steps for the following layers.

Right heart: use paper 10
Square: use paper 11
Left top circle: use paper 6
Bottom right circle: use paper 6
Rectangle: use paper 13
Oval: use paper 10
Left circle: use paper 11
Right circle: use paper 11

Apply a drop shadow of choice to all the paper layers, or use my settings: V&H: 0, O: 55, B: 3

For all the mat layers: use paper 1.  Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > Gaussian, 75%, monochrome checked.  Apply a drop shadow of choice to all mat layers, or use my settings: V&H: 0, O: 55, B: 10.

Activate the circle layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  Resize paper 3 60%, copy and paste as a new layer.  Do not deselect.

Resize the tube 95%, copy and paste as a new layer and arrange within the selection.  Tap delete and deselect.  Do not delete the original circle layer yet.  Apply drop shadow of choice to the tube or use V&H: 2, O: 55, B: 10.  Apply Xero Radiance using these settings:

Activate the original circle layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  Invert the selection.  Now activate the tube layer and tap delete.  This will get rid of the drop shadow on the mat.  Deselect and delete the circle layer.  Apply the drop shadow used on the other paper layers to the paper layer below the tube.

Now add the elements, I used:

#10: resize 30%; free rotate 15° left and sharpen.  Duplicate and mirror
#15: resize 30%
#18: resize 60%
#20: do not resize, paste this above the background layer
#27: resize 35%; duplicate and mirror
#32: resize 45%
#33: resize 45%
#42: resize 40%
#51: resize 20%, then 70%

Apply drop shadow of choice to all elements, or use my settings above.

Hide the background layer and the glitter layer.  Merge visible and resize the merged layer 90%.  Unhide the glitter and background layers.  Add a new raster layer above the background.  Select all.  Copy and paste paper 12 into the selection; deselect.  Apply WSL mask #105 and merge the mask group.  Reduce the opacity of the mask layer to 62.

Crop and resize your tag and add your name using the Fragrance font or a script font of your choice.  Size will depend on how much you resized your tag.  I used size 80, stroke 0, colour #772e2f.  Apply drop shadow above.

Add all applicable copyright and license information and save your tag as a png.  You're finished!

Thanks for trying my tutorial, email me HERE to show off your results.  :)

Hugs, Carol♥
