Purrfectly Pink

This tutorial was written by me on February 4th, 2014 and was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

"Petals Of Love" is a beautiful kit available for purchase at Queenbrat Designs.  Thanks for another lovely kit Renee'!

Artwork by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.  This adorable little Valentine kitten can be purchased at PSP Tube Stop.

Template #498 by Millie's PSP Madness.

Mask #41 by WeeScotsLass.

Font: KG Falling Slowly, HERE.

*Note: When referring to drop shadows, I use the following abbreviations:

V = Vertical
H = Horizontal
O = Opacity
B = Blur

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, shift + d to duplicate; close the original.  Delete Raster 1 and layer #4.

Resize all layers 85%, change the canvas size to 750 x 750.  Unhide the background layer and flood fill the blank areas with white.

Activate layer #1; select all, float and defloat.  From the kit, open Paper LtPinkGrunge and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply a drop shadow of choice, or use my settings - V&H: 0, O: 53, B: 12.

Repeat these steps for the following layers:

#2: use LtPinkGrunge
#3: use LtTanTinyFlowersHearts
#5: use DkPinkGlitter
#6: use LtPinkRoses
#7: use LtTanTinyFlowersHearts
#11: use DkPinkRoses, resize 50%

Change the foreground to #c12250 and the background to #f2d0fa.  Activate the Colour Replacer tool, located in the fly out menu below the paint brush tool.  Change the settings to:

Size: 999
Hardness: 100
Step: 10
Density: 100
Thickness: 100
Rotation: 0
Tolerance: 20

Activate layer #8, center the brush in the canvas and left click.  Apply drop shadow of choice or use V&H: 2, O: 53, B: 5.

Repeat for layer #9 and #10.

Choose the tube you'd like to use (I used Fluffy Kitten) and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Apply a drop shadow of choice or use V&H: 2, O: 35, B: 10.

Now add your elements, I used:

Green Berries: resize 30%
Tan Berries: resize 30%
Dk Pink Rose: resize 20%
Lt Pink Rose: resize 20%
Lt Tan Flower: resize 25%
Dk & Lt Tan Butterfly: resize 50%; free rotate left OR right 20° and sharpen
Lt Colours Bead Scatter: resize 55%; duplicate, mirror and flip.  Apply a light drop shadow of choice or use V&H: 2, O: 35, B: 5
Vertical Folded Hearts Border: resize 40%

Apply drop shadow of choice to elements or use my settings: V&H: 2, O: 53, B: 10.

Hide background layer and merge visible.  Unhide background and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Copy Lt Pink Grunge paper and paste into selection.  Deselect and apply WSL mask #41; merge mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement.

Crop and resize your tag, I resized to 596 x 570.

Add your name, I used KG Falling Slowly, size 72, Stroke 0, #c12250.  Apply drop shadow of choice or use V&H: 2, O: 53, B: 5.

Add all applicable copyright and license information and you're done.  Thanks for trying my tutorial, enjoy your new tag!

I love to see your creations, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol♥
