Sterling Chocolate

This tutorial was written by me on April 21st, 2013 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

Scrap kit: I used a wonderful kit called "Sterling Chocolate" by BLT DeZignZ.  You can purchase it at Bella Zingaro Studio.  Thanks so much Brandy!

Tube: I used a tube by Pinup Toons.  You can purchase his work at CDO.

Template #42 from Twyzted T's Playroom.

Mask #27 from Dees'Sign Depot.

Font: I used LHF Wade Grotesque Swash, a pay font.

Drop shadow used, unless otherwise specified: H&V 2, Opacity 63, Blur 10.

After adding each new paper layer: Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer, then apply drop shadow.  Follow these steps unless instructed otherwise.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, shift + d to duplicate and close the original.

Delete the credit layer.  Resize all layers 80%, then change the canvas size to 800 x 700.  Unhide the background layer and flood fill the blank area with white.

Activate Raster 9; select all, float and defloat.

From the kit, open Paper 10 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, follow instructions in the introduction.

Use the same paper for Raster 3.  Before deselecting, copy the smaller close-up tube (do not resize) and paste as a new layer.  Arrange within the selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete the original layer.  Change the blend mode of the tube to Screen and reduce the opacity to 60.  Drop shadow the tube.

Repeat the steps above for copy of Raster 3.

Activate Raster 4; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 1 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Do not deselect.

Copy the smaller close-up tube once again and paste as a new layer.  Duplicate and move the copy above Raster 18 (frame).  Using the eraser, remove the part of the tube that extends past the circle on the bottom layer.  Deselect and activate the top tube layer.  Erase the part of the tube that's on top of the frame.  Drop shadow the bottom layer only.  I used Vertical -2, Horizontal 5, Opacity 60, Blur 15.

Activate Raster 2; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 2 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, follow instructions in the introduction.

Repeat for copy of Raster 2.

Activate Raster 5; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 4 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, etc.

Activate Raster 7; select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #f0eced.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > Gaussian, 50%, Monochrome checked.  Click OK.  Apply drop shadow.

Repeat the steps above for Raster 12, 13, 14, 15.

Apply drop shadow to Raster 10 and 11.

Now add your elements, I used:

Coffee: resize 15%
Choc1: resize 10%, then 40%.  Duplicate and free rotate 35 degrees right.
Choc2: resize 10%
Fan: resize 20%
Lolli: resize 15%; free rotate 35 degrees right
Flower3: resize 30% and mirror.  Duplicate and resize 80%; free rotate 20 degrees left.

Drop shadow all elements.

Hide the background layer and merge visible.  Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Open Paper 14, copy and paste into selection.  Deselect and apply Dees'Sign Depot mask #27; merge mask group.

Crop and resize your tag.  Add your name (I used LHF Wade Grotesque Swash, Size 90, Stroke 1, foreground set to #f0eced and background #45302d) and add all applicable copyright and license info.

Save as a png, you're finished!  Thanks for trying my tutorial!

Hugs, Carol♥
