Bunny Hugs

This tutorial was written by me on March 15th, 2013 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

I used an adorable full-size scrap kit by Clooney & Me Designs called "Bunny Hugs".  This kit is sooo cute!!  You'll find it at Bella Zingaro Studio.  Thanks for this awesome kit!

Easter template #2 from Twyzted T's Playroom.

Mask #223 from Gems Taggin' Scraps.

Font used: FB Fascination, HERE.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, shift + d to duplicate and close the original.

Delete the following layers: Raster 11, 2 and 13.

Resize all layers 80%.  Change the canvas size to 850 x 700.  Unhide and activate the background layer, flood fill the blank area with white.

Activate Raster 9; select all, float and defloat.  From the kit, open Paper 4 and resize 15%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and position as desired.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete the original layer.  Repeat these steps for Raster 10 and copy of Raster 10.  Apply drop shadow of choice, I used H&V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 12.

Activate Raster 4; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 10 and resize 15%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and position.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply drop shadow above.

Repeat for both copies of Raster 4.

Activate Raster 3; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 6 and resize 15%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Invert the selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Drop shadow.

Activate Raster 5; select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 3 and resize 15%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert the selection and tap delete.  Invert again, do not deselect.

Selections > Modify > Contract > contract by 3.

Open Paper 7 and resize 15%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply drop shadow, I used: H&V 0, Opacity 32, Blur 8.

Apply drop shadow to the original paper layer, I used H&V 2, Opacity 53, Blur 10.  Use this drop shadow for all frames and elements as well.

Activate Raster 6; select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #d6576d.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply a drop shadow of choice, I used H&V 2, Opacity 25, Blur 8.

Add your elements, I used:

Bunny3: resize 15%
Lamb: resize 15%, then 95%; mirror
Ducky: resize 10%
DuckieButton: resize 10%, then 80%
Chick1: resize 7%, then 85%
Chick2: resize 7%
Chick3: resize 7%
Eggs of choice: resize each 7%, then 85%.  Free rotate two of them 20 degrees to the left or right.  For the egg laying on its side, I used Egg 11 and resized 7%, then 85% twice.  Free rotate 70 degrees left.
Flower3: resize 20%, then 85%; duplicate and move copy to the other side as shown in my tag.
Leaf1: resize 15%; duplicate and mirror
Leaf2: resize 15%; duplicate and mirror
Butterfly1: resize 5%; duplicate and mirror

Drop shadow all elements.

Hide the background layer and merge visible.  Resize merged layer 85%.

Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Open Paper 3; copy and paste into selection.  Deselect.  Apply Gem's mask #223 and merge the mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust the size of the mask to your satisfaction.

Crop and resize your tag.  Add your name using FB Fascination - size 80, Stroke 1, AntiAlias set to Sharp and Create As a Vector.  Set background to #d6576d and foreground to #edf7d2.  Type your name and click OK.  Position as desired.  Layers > Convert to Raster Layer.

Save as a png or jpg and you're finished.  Thanks for trying my tutorial!

Hugs, Carol♥
