Love Is In The Air

This tutorial was written by me on February 9th, 2013 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

I used the gorgeous art of Mitzi Sato Wiuff.  This tube is entitled "Romanza" and is breathtaking!  You can purchase Mitzi's tubes at PSP TubeStop.  You must have a license to use.

I used a lovely FTU kit called "Love Me Love You" by Mirella at A Space Between.  Please download from her blog HERE.

"Hearts On Ice" template #4 from Twyzted T's Playroom.

Plug-in used: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (for name).

Mask #3 from DeeSign Depot.  Download from her blog HERE (scroll down).

Font used: Shalimar Swash, a pay font.  Any fun script font will work, try Susie's Hand, HERE.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, shift + d to duplicate and close the original.

Delete Raster 11 and all the shadow layers.  Resize all layers 80%, then change the canvas size to 800 x 750.

Unhide Raster 1, activate and flood fill the blank area with white.

Activate Raster 5, select all, float and defloat.  From the kit, open Paper 11 and resize 65%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and move into place.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply a drop shadow of choice, I used H&V 0, Opacity 62, Blur 12.

Repeat the steps above for Copy of Raster 5 layer.

Activate Raster 6, select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 16 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.

Activate Raster 8 and apply drop shadow.  I used H&V 2, Opacity 62, Blur 10.

Activate Raster 7, select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 4 and resize 75%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.

Activate Raster 9 and apply drop shadow above.

Activate Raster 2, select all, float and defloat.  Open Paper 1 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.

Activate Raster 3 and apply drop shadow above.

Activate Copy of Raster 2, select all, float and defloat.  Copy and paste Paper 1 as a new layer (it will still be on the clipboard), invert the selection and tap delete.  Do not deselect.  Open the Romanza Girl tube and resize 120%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and move into place within the selection.  See my tag for placement.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change the blend mode to Multiply and reduce the opacity as desired - 50% to 65%.  Apply drop shadow above.

Activate Raster 4 and apply drop shadow.  Repeat for Raster 10 and Copy Of Raster 10.

Copy and paste the Romanza Girl tube as a new layer.  Move to the left side of the tag.  Apply drop shadow.

Now have some fun and add your elements.  I used:

#3: resize 20%, then 80%
#6: resize 40%; free rotate 85 degrees right.  Duplicate and mirror.
#11: resize 25%, then 85%.  Duplicate as desired, mirror some and resize some copies a further 85%.
#12: resize 20%; free rotate 20 degrees left and sharpen.  Duplicate and mirror
#13: resize 60%; free rotate 65 degrees right
#14: resize 60%
 #21: resize 50%
#22: resize 20%
#32: resize 30%, duplicate and mirror as desired.
Resize the butterfly that comes with the tube 35%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.

Apply drop shadow above to all elements.

Hide background layer, merge visible all other layers.  Resize merged layer 85%.

Unhide background layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Copy and paste Paper 12 into the selection.  Deselect.  Apply DeeSign Depot mask #3 and merge the mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust mask size and placement.

Crop and resize your tag.  Add your name using colour #5a1102 and apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (if using).  Under the Colour tab, select "Medium" and change the colour to #f8ebc2.  Under the Basic tab, change the settings to this:

Add all applicable copyright and license information and you're done!  Enjoy your new tag!

I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol
