Just Breathe

Just Breathe

This tutorial was written by me on February 17th, 2013 and was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.  You will need the following supplies:

I used a beautiful kit by BabyCakes Scraps called "Just Breathe - TS", which is available at Bella Zingaro Studio.  Thank you for this lovely kit Lynne!

I used the beautiful pinup art of Jennifer Janesko, who was with CILM when I purchased this tube.  You can now find Jennifer's work at CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Template #150 by Horseplay's Pasture.  Template link is at the top left.

Mask #111 by Vaybs.

Plug-in used: Eye Candy 4000; Gradient Glow.

Font: Doris Day, HERE.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, shift + d to duplicate and close the original.

Delete the credit layer and change the canvas size to 750 x 750.  Activate the background layer and flood fill the blank area with white.

Activate Square 1, select all, float and defloat.  Open paper #11 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer; invert the selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer. Apply a drop shadow of choice, I used H&V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 12.

Repeat the steps above for Square 2, Lines and Glitter Circle layers.  Drop shadow.

Activate Rectangle layer, select all, float and defloat.  Open paper #6 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, position as desired.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Apply drop shadow above.

Activate Circle layer; select all, float and defloat.  Open paper #9 and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, invert selection and tap delete.  Do not deselect.

Open the tube, copy and paste as a new layer within the selection.  Position as shown in my tag and tap delete.  Do not deselect.

Resize the tube 110%, copy and paste as a new layer and move below the original tube layer.  Position to the right of the original tube, see my tag for reference.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 65.  Apply a drop shadow to your original tube, I used H&V 2, Opacity 55, Blur 15.

Add your elements, I used:

#30: resize 35%; duplicate 2x and mirror.
#34: resize 30%, then 80%.  Duplicate and flip.
45: resize 30% and mirror.
#67: resize 25%; duplicate and flip.
#70: resize 15%; free rotate 15 degrees right; duplicate and flip.  Paste again, free rotate 55 degrees left.
#71: resize 32%; duplicate and flip, duplicate once again.
#78: resize 10%; mirror and flip.

Apply drop shadow of choice to all elements, I used: H&V 2, Opacity 55, Blur 10.

Hide the background layer and merge visible.  Resize the merged layer 85%.  Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all, copy and paste paper #3 into the selection; deselect.  Apply Vaybs mask #111 and merge the mask group.  Use the raster deform tool to adjust size and placement.

Crop and resize your tag.

Activate the text tool and select the Doris Day font; Size 115, Stroke 0, Create as a vector.  Set background to #ccc46f.  Type your name and place where you like.  Layers > Convert to Raster Layer.

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow with these settings:

Under the Colour tab: choose Medium and change the colour to #420004.

Under the Basic tab:

Glow Width: 3.00
Soft Corners: 0
Overal Opacity: 100
Draw Only Outside Selection: checked

Click OK.

Apply drop shadow of choice, I used: H&V 2, Opacity 65, Blur 10.

Add all applicable copyright and license information.  Save as a png or jpg and you're finished, enjoy your new tag!

Hugs, Carol
