Vintage November

This tutorial was written by me on December 2nd, 2012.  You will need the following supplies:

"Vintage November" is a lovely kit by Designed by Stina.  Please visit Stina's blog HERE to find links to her stores.  Thanks so much hun!

I used mask #80 by Vaybs.  Download from her blog HERE.

Eye Candy 4000; Gradient Glow

Font: I used Hummingbird, a pay font.  If you don't have it and don't want to buy it, any nice script font will work well.  Try Hancock, available HERE.

Drop shadow used: H&V 2, Opacity 62, Blur 10.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open a new image, 750 x 750, white background.

From the kit, open Frame04 and resize 80%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Free rotate 90 degrees right.

Using the magic wand, click inside the frame and expand the selection by 5.

Open a paper of choice and resize 55%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and move below the frame.  Arrange as desired; invert the selection and tap delete.  Deselect.

Open Window01 and resize 40%.  Copy and paste as a new layer inside the frame and move to the left side.

Using the rectangle selection tool, draw out a selection around the window , like this:

Tap delete to remove the paper and you will have something that looks like the window above.

Change foreground to #3e3027

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with the foreground colour.  You should now have something that looks like this:

Open ChinaCabinet and resize 30%, then 90%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and arrange on the right side, within the frame.  See my tag for placement.

Open medi_constance2 and resize 85%.  Place on right side of the frame.

Add your elements, I used:

Wireless: resize 30%
Telephone: resize 30%
Notepaper02: resize 35%; free rotate 15 degrees left and sharpen.
Sunflower02 & 04: resize each 10%
FallLeaf02: resize 15%; duplicate, mirror and flip
ChristmasSign02: resize 35%

Apply drop shadows.

Hide background layer and merge visible.  Unhide background layer and add a new raster layer above it.  Select all.  Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection.  Deselect.  Apply the mask and merge the mask group.

Crop and resize your tag.  Add your name and apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow using these settings:

Under the Colour tab:

Choose "Medium" and change the colour to #e3e3db

Under the Basic tab:

Glow Width: 3.00
Soft Corners: 0
Overall Opacity: 100
Draw Only Outside Selection: checked

Click OK.

Save as a png or jpg and you're finished, enjoy your new tag!

I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol
