Abundance

This tutorial was written by me on October 12th, 2012 and is the result of my own ideas.  Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed

Tube and elements: I used the gorgeous art of Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.  All the elements used in this tag came with the tube, making it a great value!  You can purchase Mitzi's tubes from PSP Tube Stop, you must have a license to use her art.  The tube is called Abundance, and you will find it HERE.

Template: I used template #9 by Tracy F. Designz, HERE.  Tracy's temps are available in bulk download, scroll down and you'll find the links on the right side.

Mask: I used mask #1 by Melissaz Creationz, HERE.

Plug-ins used:
Eye Candy Nature: Water Drops
VM Extravaganza: Transmission

Font: I used Maria Antuanetta, HERE

Drop shadow used throughout: H&V 2, Opacity 47, Blur 8

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP mask folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, duplicate and close the original.  Delete the top three layers.  Change the canvas size to 800 x 700.

Duplicate the circle layer and resize 85%, do the same for the circle frame layer.  Arrange as desired, see my tag for reference.

Activate the circle layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #ffe2a0.  Delete the original layer, do not deselect.  Change the foreground to #d85f3c and the background to #e9ada8.  Change foreground to gradient with these settings:

Style: Linear
Angle: 45
Repeats: 5
Invert: checked

Flood fill the new layer with the gradient, do not deselect.  Apply a gaussian blur with a radius of 10.  Do not deselect.  Copy and paste the portrait tube as a new layer and arrange within the selection.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change the blend mode to Soft Light.  Activate the gradient layer and apply the Transmission plug-in using these settings:

Line Width: 4
Offset: 0
Contrast: 5

Click OK.

Repeat these steps for the copy of circle layer, with these exceptions: uncheck Invert for the gradient; mirror the portrait tube.  All other steps are the same.

Activate the rectangle 1 layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #ffe2a0.  Foreground set to #d85f3c and background to #e9ada8.  Set foreground to gradient with these settings:

Style: Sunburst
Angle: 45
Repeats: 3
Invert: unchecked

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with the gradient; do not deselect.  Apply a gaussian blur with a radius of 10.  Deselect.  Apply Eye Candy Nature, Water Drops:

Under the Settings tab: choose Small, Champagne Bubbles.

Under the Basic tab, change the settings to this:

Use the background colour for the Liquid Colour setting.

Activate one of the frames.  Select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #8b3224.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Repeat for the remaining two frames.

Open the Abundance Layer tube and resize 75%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and arrange on the right side of the tag.

Now add some of the elements that come with the tube.  I used:

Flowers Group: resize 50%, then 70%
Yellow Flower 1 & 2: resize each 40%
Fern 1: do not resize
Fern 2: resize 85%; free rotate 50 degrees right.  Duplicate and free rotate 25 degrees left

Apply drop shadows.

Hide the background layer and merge visible.  Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer.  Flood fill with #ffe2a0.  Apply the mask and merge the mask group.  Resize the mask layer 85%.

Crop and resize your tag.  Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information.  Save as a png and you're done!  Enjoy your new tag.

I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol
