This tutorial was written by me on July 22nd, 2012 and is the result of my own ideas. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.
PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.
Scrap kit: I used a beautiful kit by Cindy's Creative Designs called "Star Lit Night". You can get it at Butterfly Blush. Thanks so much Cindy!
Tube: I used a wonderful tube by Wendy Fowler entitled "Serene". Wendy's beautiful art is available at PSP Tube Stop. Please don't use without a license.
Template: I used template #21 by TwyztedT's Playroom.
Mask: I used Big Mask #001 by Vix.
Font: I used Blessed Day, HERE.
Drop shadow used throughout: H&V 2, Opacity 75, Blur 10.
~~ Remember to save often! ~~
Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.
Open the template in PSP, duplicate and close the original. Delete Raster 15, 10, 9, 8 and 7. Change canvas size to 800 x 750. Unhide the background layer and flood fill the blank area with white.
Activate Raster 5, select all, float and defloat. Open a paper of choice from the kit, resize 70 - 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer, invert the selection and tap delete. Deselect and delete the original layer.
Repeat the steps above for the remaining layers except the rectangle frames. Flood fill those with #fffea6. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > Gaussian, 50%, Monochrome checked. Add this same noise effect to the Raster 3 paper layer, if desired.
After adding the paper layer to Raster 2, do not deselect. Copy and paste Ray as a new layer and arrange as desired within the selection. Tap delete. Open Bling and resize 70%. Copy and paste as a new layer and arrange within the selection. Tap delete and deselect.
Resize the tube 85%. Copy and paste as a new layer.
Add your elements, I used:
Grapes1: resize 40%
Star1 & 2: resize each 30%, then 85%
Flower2: resize 25%; free rotate 70 degrees left and sharpen. Duplicate and resize 70%. Continue to duplicate each size as many times as you wish and arrange along the left side of the largest rectangle (see my tag for reference).
Butterfly1 & 2: resize each 15%
Apply drop shadows.
Hide the background layer and merge visible. Resize the merged layer 85%.
Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer. Select all. Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection. Deselect. Apply the mask and merge the mask group.
Crop and resize your tag. Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information. Save as a png or jpg and you're finished! Enjoy your new tag!
I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.
Hugs, Carol ♥
