Roll Me Over

This tutorial was written by me on February 29th, 2012 and is the result of my own ideas.  Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed

Scrap kit of choice: I used a wonderful kit by Designs by Stina called "The Clover Fairy".  Visit Stina's blog for a list of her stores.  Thanks so much Stina!

Tube and close-up of choice: I used a tube by Lady Mishka, who was with PTE at the time.  You can now get her tubes at Pics For Design.  You must have a license to use.

Template of choice: I used a St. Patrick's template by Dee, HERE.

Mask of choice: I used a mask by Vicky from the set found HERE.

Plug-in used: Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow.

Font of choice: I used LD Clover, HERE.

Drop Shadow used for template layers: H&V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 12
Drop Shadow used for elements and tube: H&V 2, Opacity 55, Blur 10

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.

Open the template in PSP, duplicate and close the original.

Resize the template 85%, make sure "resize all layers" is checked.  Change the canvas size to 750 x 750.  Activate the background layer and flood fill the blank area with white.

Delete the clover layer.

Activate the right green circle layer.  Select all, float and defloat.  Open a paper of choice from the kit and resize 70%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Invert selection and tap delete.  Deselect and delete the original layer.

Repeat these steps for all remaining layers except the wordart layers.

After adding the paper layer to the small green circle layer, do not deselect.  Copy and paste your close-up tube and arrange within the selection.  Tap delete and deselect.  Change the blend mode to Luminance.

Change foreground to #006500 and background to #bace6e.  Change foreground to gradient; Style - Linear, Angle - 45, Repeat - 5.

Activate the wordart layer, select all, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with the gradient.  Deselect and delete original layer.  Merge the three wordart layers together.  Move to the top left corner of the tag, see my tag for placement.

Copy and paste your main tube as a new layer and resize 110%.  Mirror and position on the right side of the tag.

Add your elements, I used:

Glitter Clover: resize 70%
Pot O Gold 02: resize 45%
Horseshoe: resize 10%
Scatter: resize 80%
Clover 03: resize 35%
Clover 06: resize 15%

Apply drop shadows to all layers.

Hide background layer and merge visible.  Unhide background and add a new raster layer.  Select all.  Copy and paste a paper of choice into selection and deselect.  Apply the mask and merge the mask group.

Crop and resize your tag.  Change the background to gradient and add your name.  Apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow with these settings:

Under the Colour tab: choose the Fat preset
Under the Basic tab:

Glow Width: 3.00
Soft Corners: 0
Overall Opacity: 100
Draw Only Outside Selection checked.

Click OK and apply drop shadow.

Add all applicable copyright and license info.  Save as a png or jpg and you're finished!  Enjoy your new tag!

Email me HERE if you'd like to show me your result.

Hugs, Carol
