Reflections Of You
This tutorial was written by me on January 11th, 2012 and is the result of my own ideas. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.
PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.
Scrap kit of choice: I used a gorgeous kit by Diane of Candy's Treats called "Wild About Blue". This kit is stunning, as are all of Diane's kits. This is one of a series that's she's creating, the others are Wild About Pink and Wild About Purple and all are beautiful! Thanks so much Diane!
Tube of choice: I used the pinup art of Jennifer Janesko. Jennifer was with CILM when I purchased this tube, but you can now get her tubes from CDO. You must have a license to use her art.
Mask of choice: I used Mask #25 by Weescotslass.
Font of choice: I used Respective, HERE.
~~ Remember to save often! ~~
Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.
From the kit, open Frame5; copy and paste as a new layer.
Using the freehand selection tool, draw a selection around the frame, like this:
Open a paper of choice and resize 70%; copy and paste as a new layer. Invert the selection and tap delete. Do not deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and arrange within the selection. Tap delete and deselect. Apply a drop shadow of choice to both the tube and the frame.
Effects > Art Media Effects > Charcoal > Select Light Charcoal from the drop down menu and apply to the tube layer using the default settings. Change the blend mode to Luminance.
Paste your tube as a new layer (it will still be on the clipboard) and resize 85%. Mirror the tube and arrange on the right side of the frame. Apply a drop shadow of choice.
Add your elements, I used:
String: resize 85%
Star1: resize 85%
Star2: resize 70%, then 85%
LeafCluster2: resize 50%; free rotate 90 degrees left
Flowers of your choosing: resize each 18%
BlueLeaves: resize 35%, then 85%
BG1: do not resize; apply a light drop shadow, I used H&V 2, Opacity 15, Blur 10.
Apply a drop shadow of choice to your other elements.
Hide the background layer and merge visible. Unhide the background and add a new raster layer.
Change the foreground to #aeaeae and the background to #ede8e7. Change foreground to gradient with these settings:
Flood fill the new layer with this gradient. Apply the mask and merge the mask group.
Crop and resize your tag. Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information. Save as a png or jpg and you're finished!
I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.
Hugs, Carol ♥
