Moonbeams (PTU)

(Click tag to see full-size image)

This tutorial was written by me on January 21st, 2012 and is the result of my own ideas.  Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed

Scrap kit of choice: "Blue Magic" is a gorgeous kit by Cindy's Creative Designs and available at Butterfly Blush.  Thanks so much Cindy!

Tube of choice: I used a tube by Rebecca Cox, who was with CILM when I purchased it.  You can now get her tubes at ADI, you must have a license to use her art.

Mask of choice: I used mask #260 by Weescotslass.

Font of choice: I used Aphrodite Pro, a pay font.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.

Open a new image, 800 by 750, white background.

Add a new raster layer and select all.

Open a paper of choice, copy and paste into selection, deselect.  Apply the mask and merge the mask group.

From the kit, open corner1 and resize 45%.  Copy and paste as a new layer and arrange in the bottom left corner, as seen in my tag.  Duplicate, mirror and flip.  Apply a drop shadow to each, I used H&V 2, Opacity 48, Blur 10.

Resize the tube 85%, copy and paste as a new layer and arrange in the top left corner.

Add your elements, I used:

sparkles1: resize 50%
sparkles2: resize 35%
sign2: resize 45%
dragonflies: resize 30%
bird: resize 15%
flowers of your choice: resize each 15 - 20% (depends on your choice)
pebbles: resize 50%, mirror
bottle: resize 30%
leaves1: resize 45%
leaves2: resize 50%
butterflies2: resize 50%
butterfly1: resize 13%

Apply drop shadow above to all elements.

Crop and resize your tag.

Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information.  Save as a png or jpg and you're finished!

I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol
