To Grandmother's House
This tutorial was written by me on August 2nd, 2011 and is the result of my own ideas. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.
PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.
This tutorial was written assuming you have a basic knowledge of PSP, its tools and functions.
Supplies Needed
Tube of choice: I used a cute tube by Barb Kermis. Barb was with CILM when I purchased this tube but her tubes are now FTU and available on her website HERE. Please read and follow her TOU!
Plug-in used: Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow
Font of choice: I used Ms Madi, a pay font.
Drop shadow used throughout: H&V 2, Opacity 53, Blur 10
~~ Remember to save often! ~~
Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.
Open a new image, 800 x 750, white background.
From the kit, open element 47 and resize 70%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Using the magic wand, click inside the frame and expand the selection by 5.
Open element 17 and resize 50%, then 60%. Copy and paste as a new layer and move below the frame.
Resize a paper of choice 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer above the background layer. Arrange as desired within the selection (see my tag for placement). Invert the selection and tap delete. Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube and arrange on the left side of the frame.
Add your elements, I used:
10: resize 30%
13: resize 50%; duplicate
14: resize 40%
16: resize 20%
18 & 20: resize each 25%; free rotate 15 degrees to the left or right
29: resize 50%
30: resize 50%
32: resize 50%
33: resize 40%
55: resize 20%, then 85%
56: resize 20%
Using a font of choice, type a saying at the top of the tag if desired. I wrote "Over the river and through the woods". Apply Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow using these settings:
Under the basic tab:
Glow Width: 3.00
Soft Corners: 25
Overall Opacity: 100
Under the color tab: select the Medium preset. Drop shadow.
Apply drop shadow to all elements, hide the background layer and merge visible. Resize the merged layer 85%. Unhide the background layer and add a new raster layer. Select all. Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection, deselect. Apply the mask and merge the mask group. Use the raster deform tool to adjust the mask size to your satisfaction.
Add your name and apply the same gradient glow as above.
Add all applicable copyright and license information, save as a jpeg or png and you're finished! Thanks for trying my tutorial!
I'd love to see your results, email me!
