Reindeer Wishes

This tutorial was written by me on December 11th, 2011 and is the result of my own ideas.  Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP version used: X2, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a general knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed

Scrap kit of choice: I used an awesome kit by Bev of Horseplay's Pasture Designs called "He's Coming To Town".  I LOVE this kit, so many possibilities!!  You can get it at Lollipops and Gumdrops.  Thanks so much Bev!

Tube of choice: I used an adorable tube by Joanna Bromley.  You can purchase her tubes from PSP Tube Stop.  You must have a license to use.

Mask of choice: I used Vix Big Mask #20, HERE.

Font of choice: I used Holiday Home, HERE.

Drop shadow used throughout: H&V 2, Opacity 50, Blur 10.

~~ Remember to save often! ~~

Place the mask in your PSP masks folder or a folder of your choice.

Open a new image, 750 x 750, white background.

From the kit, open element 14 and resize 75%.  Copy and paste as a new layer.

Using the magic wand, click inside each of the frames.  Expand the selection by 3.

Open a paper of choice and resize 65%.  Copy and paste as a new layer, move below the frame.  Arrange as desired within the frames.  Invert the selection and tap delete.  Deselect.

Copy and paste the tube as a new layer.

Add your elements, I used:

1: resize 30%
10 & 11: resize each 30%
23: resize 30%; duplicate as many times as desired
24: resize 30%, then 85%; free rotate 12 degrees right.  Duplicate as many times as desired
26: resize 15%
44: resize 60%

Drop shadow all layers using the settings above.

Type a greeting in the upper left frame, I used "Happy Holidays".

Hide your background layer and merge visible.  Unhide the background layer and add a new  raster layer.  Select all.  Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection.  Deselect.  Apply the mask and merge the mask group.

Crop and resize your tag.

Add your name and all applicable copyright and license information.  Save as a jpg or png and you're finished!  I hope you enjoy your new tag!

I'd love to see your results, email me HERE.

Hugs, Carol
